Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Ruby/Ruby on Rails Tech Lead for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Ukraine. Our client is a licensed online lender, that provides instant loans and bill payments. We develop an Android application for mobile banking that allows users to take loans. The application has an algorithm that allows evaluating a user’s profile through the analysis of the data presented on the phone.

Requirements:

Experience as a Tech Lead.
5+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails.
Proven background in MySQL database
Experience in designing complex systems with forward-thinking.
Expertise in architecture.
Experience with microservices: carving out parts of a monolith / identify the domains and design interfaces.
Experience in the integration of third-party services.
AWS.

Responsibilities:

Work on the architecture that heavily relies on third-party providers.
Migrate a model where the backend owes a configurable workflow.
Create robust and fault-tolerant software.
Develop new features.
Create and monitor documentation, architecture schemas, sequence diagrams.
Review code.

Will be a plus:

Expertise in a business domain.
Experience with Travis / deployment.
Knowledge of EKS / Docker.
Knowledge of Kafka or RabbitMQ.
