The Opportunity

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a talented Senior Python Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Ukraine. Our client is where hiring happens — transforming the way organizations discover, engage, and hire the best talent. Connecting companies and candidates anytime, anywhere, their industry-leading end-to-end hiring platform features video interviewing, assessments, and conversational AI. They have hosted more than 18 million video interviews and 114M chat-based candidate engagements for over 700 customers around the globe. The company utilizes deep workflow conversational AI to fully automate the end-to-end recruiting workflow by intelligently engaging through texting over mobile and web. It enables conversational job matching across all talent acquisition channels, intelligently qualifies the candidate specifically for the best-fit role, automates interview scheduling and post-interview interactions, drives retention through post-hire check-ins, and gathers actionable insights to improve overall recruiting performance. Their product is multilingual, can be quickly deployed due to its highly configurable technology, and easily integrates and scales with existing HR systems and processes. You will be working with state-of-the-art technology for a SaaS application, so it is key to have experience with software development, agile processes.

Requirements

— 7-8 years of application development experience with Python/Django/MySQL;
— 2+ years of experience in any Cloud technologies(AWS/Azure/GCP);
— Experience managing codebases across Python 2 and Python 3;
— Strong understanding of design patterns including why and where a pattern should be used;
— Experience with Python performance tuning;
— Solid OO design skills with an emphasis on distributed low latency, high availability systems;
— Deep understanding of SQL and distributed data processing;
— Excellent knowledge of Linux programming;
— Experience working with container solutions such as Docker and Kubernetes;
— Experience with building tools to support data pipeline(ETL/TLT) workflow development will be a plus;
— Experience with standard industry tools for workflow management, code release/deploy including Jira, Jenkins, Github, Pycharm or other IDE, Confluence, etc.

Responsibilities

— Understand product architecture, design and develop new features and Maintain Core Application Frameworks;
— Ability to work in a dynamic and often fast-paced environment;
— Experience building external and internal facing APIs;
— Collaborate with the product team to generalize product requirements and work directly with engineers, QA, and release engineers by managing delivery timelines;
— Deliver the feature with quality in mind and use tools and technologies to make the engineering process efficient;
— Maintain coding and technology standards used in the software development of applications.
