Our client is a fast-growing UK-based fintech startup focused on building next-generation financial solutions for mobile platforms. Backed by solid venture capital and driven by a mission to make finance more accessible and intuitive, they are now developing a cutting-edge mobile app.

They are seeking a skilled React Native Engineer to transform Figma designs and pre-built backend APIs into a polished, production-ready mobile application. The ideal candidate is an independent problem solver, experienced with mobile development best practices, and confident working with real-time systems and modern developer tools.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in mobile development, including at least 2 years with React Native.
• Proven ability to build and ship mobile applications, preferably in fintech or startup environments.
• Strong experience with authentication and authorization flows (OAuth2, JWT, etc).
• Familiarity with event-driven systems and websocket integrations.
• Hands-on experience with AI-powered development tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot).
• Comfortable working from Figma design files and consuming RESTful/GraphQL APIs.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, ownership-oriented mindset.
• Fluency in English.

Nice to have:

• Experience optimizing React Native apps specifically for iOS.
• Familiarity with app store submission processes and Apple’s mobile design standards.
• Exposure to TypeScript and CI/CD workflows for mobile apps.

Responsibilities:

• Translate Figma-based UI designs into responsive, high-performance React Native components.
• Integrate backend APIs to enable dynamic, secure app functionality.
• Implement robust authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• Work with real-time technologies such as websockets for live updates and interaction.
• Use AI-powered development tools to accelerate implementation and reduce development time.
• Collaborate closely with designers, backend engineers, and product stakeholders.
• Ensure code quality, performance, and usability across devices.
• Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and continuous delivery practices.
