At a pivotal stage of growth, we are seeking an experienced Interim Head of Sales to shape our sales strategy, lead business development efforts, and drive operational excellence. The Interim Head of Sales will go beyond a traditional leadership role, actively crafting and executing a comprehensive sales strategy to accelerate growth. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who thrives on creating impactful strategies, building and optimizing sales processes, and delivering tangible results. As a key member of our team, you will help define KPIs, implement tools and systems, and build a sales team to achieve our ambitious goals.

Type: Consultant (contract-based, with potential for renewal or transition to a permanent role).
Duration: 6–12+ months, with flexible terms based on project scope.
Location: Remote with occasional on-site meetings as required.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:

  • Analyze the company’s sales model, market position, and competitive landscape.
  • Develop a tailored sales strategy focused on the American market, targeting client acquisition and revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with marketing to align sales efforts with demand generation strategies.
  • Define a 12-month sales strategy within the first 1–3 months, including KPIs and metrics to measure success

Team Building and Leadership:

  • Assemble a sales team (1–2 sales/lead generation specialists) to implement the strategy.
  • Provide mentorship and direction to team members, fostering a culture of accountability and performance.

Sales Operations and Ecosystem:

  • Design and implement tools, processes, and systems to optimize sales operations.
  • Set up and integrate CRM systems to streamline lead management, pipeline tracking, and reporting.
  • Establish scalable frameworks to support sustained business growth.

Business Development:

  • Develop a structured approach to acquiring and retaining clients, building a robust sales pipeline.
  • Drive client engagements by crafting compelling proposals, pitches, and solutions.
  • Establish measurable KPIs to evaluate business development success and adjust strategies accordingly.

Client Engagement and Success:

  • Build strategies to enhance customer satisfaction, retention, and long-term relationships.
  • Oversee client onboarding processes to ensure smooth and efficient transitions.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, addressing challenges and ensuring successful outcomes.

Implementation and Change Management:

  • Lead the execution of strategic sales initiatives, ensuring alignment across teams.
  • Provide training and support to staff to ensure adoption of new processes and systems.
  • Monitor progress, resolve obstacles, and report outcomes to leadership.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in sales leadership, business development, or strategic consulting, ideally in IT outsourcing or technology services.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful sales strategies.
  • Deep understanding of sales processes, CRM tools, and pipeline management.
  • Strong knowledge of IT outsourcing models, client acquisition strategies, and market trends.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to translate insights into actionable plans.
  • Experience building and leading high-performing sales teams.
