They’ve recently developed a modern cloud-based platform aimed at improving collaboration across veterinary clinics, diagnostic centers, and specialists. The system consolidates access to patient information, medical imaging, and test results into one intuitive interface. It replaces traditional, slower communication methods with secure real-time messaging and integrated case management, helping veterinary professionals work more efficiently and effectively

REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in full-stack web development, with a solid track record of building scalable and maintainable applications.
• Strong front-end skills using React; experience with Vue is an added advantage. Proficient in TypeScript.
• Solid back-end development background using Node.js and TypeScript. Exposure to modern backend languages like Go or Python is a plus.
• Experience with AWS cloud services is preferred. GCP experience is also valuable, particularly with a good understanding of serverless architectures (e.g., Lambda or equivalents).
• Comfortable working with both SQL and NoSQL databases, with a clear grasp of system-wide data flow and architecture.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code solutions such as Terraform or AWS CDK is a strong plus.
• Capable of developing and supporting complex applications with rich user interfaces, intricate state management, and extensive business logic.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services Node/TypeScript and maybe some occasional Golang development
• Work within an AWS Lambda-heavy environment with the goal of gradually migrating to containerized deployments (e.g., Docker/Kubernetes).
• Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to improve deployment pipelines and system reliability.
• Ensure code quality, maintainability, and performance of backend services.
• Support integration with the React-based frontend through well-documented APIs.
• Write unit and integration tests using frameworks like Vitest, Playwright, or Cypress.
• Evaluate and validate code generated by AI tools such as GitHub Copilot.
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to long-term infrastructure strategy.
