Become1 is a German startup aimed at employers, providing solutions for management, budgeting, organization, and automation of tax-subsidized employee benefits. The product is mainly directed at the German market with a goal to include the overall European market.

The team consists of 12 people based in Germany, 3 in the technical team, including CTO

Qualifications and skills

• B.S. Degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 8+ years of software development experience
• Confident with the product’s technical stack of NodeJS / NestJS, PostgreSQL, Hexagonal Architecture, REST & GraphQL, ReactJS, MUI v5, Apollo GraphQL, Google Cloud, Terraform
• Dedication to building a foundation of automated unit and integration tests for the code you commit
• Ability to work independently, take the initiative, and be responsible for delivering high-quality work
• Ability to work well in a remote team environment with high-level of team collaboration
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language

Nice to have

• Previous experience creating solutions for the HR industry
• Previous experience working in early-stage startups
• Knowledge of professional keywords like DDD, TDD, DRY, SRP, DI, etc

Responsibilities

• work in a SCRUM team with other frontend and backend developers to integrate APIs and services
• collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure the technical feasibility of designs
• participate in code reviews
• provide suggestions for improvements
• keep up to date with changing technologies
