About project

Grit is a software (set of tools) that uses ML/AI to identify in real-time how good is the engineering solution that a given engineer comes up with. It’s essentially a competitor to Github’s Copilot but with more functionality. This product is a big step toward self-developing and self-maintaining software that will require little to no oversight by engineers.

The first version has been largely developed already

Team composition

Current engineering team is Cosmin (CTO), Morgante (technical CEO) and 3 contract engineers (mid to senior)

Qualifications and skills

• 5+ years experience as a software developer
• Shipped full-stack products before; comfortable working across API boundaries
• Comfortable working as a frontend developer with React, Vue, Angular etc
• Execution-driven mindset: you love shipping
• Previous experience building internal engineering tools or developer products is a plus
• Comfortable working in low-structure environments and navigating unknown unknowns
• Knowledge of Google Cloud and Kubernetes

Nice to have

• Interest in programming languages (ex. compilers) or machine learning is a plus, but not required
• Open source contributions

Responsibilities

• Build new features for our web app (React) or CLI (TypeScript)
• Integrate new static analysis tools into our backend (GraphQL + TypeScript)
• Innovate on language design for our transformation tool and consider the ideal developer experience
• Thoughtfully suggest new architectural solutions and the introduction of appropriate technologies for scaling towards our public launch
• Design cloud infrastructure (we use Google Cloud and Kubernetes) to deliver reliability and velocity
