You will be responsible for managing and executing testing activities, actively participating in dev team Agile process adjustments, communicating with key stakeholders and product users.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a passionate Quality Assurance engineer with in-depth, hands-on experience in testing RESTful web applications and CMS-driven websites, who pays great attention to the platform design, product stability, usability logic and convenience, performance and security aspects.

You’ll report directly to the Technical Product Owner and be an integral part of our Marketing Web Team. You’ll also be in close contact with our Marketing Team, designers, content managers, SEO and social media managers.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the STLC initiatives & maintenance, including planning, estimating, prioritizing, executing testing activities and reporting the results;
  • Analyze software requirements and technical tasks and provide meaningful feedbacks and test plans;
  • Encounter, document and validate specific use cases that may not be fully covered in software requirements;
  • Conduct regression, functional, UI, integration and performance testing;
  • Ensure the quality of developed functionality and/or bug fixes;
  • Organise user acceptance testing, user interview sessions and participate in release demo sessions;
  • Be a go-to person for website users when it comes to discovering actual or potential issues, support users with quick guidance in site functionality;
  • Participate in web team Agile process activities such as groomings, estimates sessions, daily syncs and demo sessions.

You

Must have:

  • 2+ years of experience in manual testing of RESTful web-based applications;
  • Creation and maintenance of test documentation;
  • Clear understanding of SDLC and STLC and the relationship between them;
  • Hands-on experience in using and strong understanding of QA methodologies, processes and tools;
  • Experience in UI testing of responsive, including fluid and mixed layout markups;
  • Experience in UAT process support, issues tracking and resolving;
  • Upper-intermediate level of English.

Should have:

  • Experience in testing 3rd party integrations (preferably marketing platforms) and/or third-party product functional dependencies;
  • Understanding of technical criteria for good SEO ranking and experience with SEO testing tools;
  • Skillful Jira and Confluence user;
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and their attributes (Scrum, Kanban);
  • Basic experience with CI tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI), version control (Git), knowledge of branching models and Git flows;
  • Strong debugging skills with a focus on root cause analysis;
  • A fast-paced, highly collaborative and team-oriented mindset.

Nice to have:

  • Understanding the idea and usage specifics of CMS-driven websites;
  • Skills with automation testing tools or willingness to automate testing processes.
