THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a Junior to Middle level DevOps Engineer to become a core member for an existing team and a client, a worldwide provider of fork-lift trucks. Company offers customized intralogistics solutions, and implements the intelligent teamwork of forklift trucks and warehouse technology, software and services. You will be responsible for continuous development and support of the infrastructure for online web portal deployed in quite complex and secured environment.

YOU

Essential skills

• Strong Linux/Unix administration skills;
• Networking fundamentals (switching, routing, load balancing);
• Web servers administrating (nginx, apache, haproxy);
• Versioning (Git, SVN, etc.);
• Scripting/programming skills (Bash, Python/Go, etc.);
• Cloud computing MS Azure cloud;
• Understanding the containerization concepts (Docker ecosystem).
• Monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, etc.);
• Log analytics (ELK stack, Grafana Loki, Splunk, etc.);
• Experience with relational DBMS (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.);
• Familiar with Elasticsearch cluster management (self hosted);
• Good written communication and the ability to communicate verbally with the customer (English);
• A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience).

DevOps skills

• Cloud configuration, IaaC (Terraform);
• Continuous Integration/Delivery (Jenkins, GitlabCI etc.);
• Configuration management (Puppet, Ansible, etc.).

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Close communication with the development teams;
• Define and support CI/CD pipelines as a part of total automation framework for test environments;
• Automation of infrastructure provisioning and maintenance;
• Cloud resources management automation and cost optimisation;
• Implementation of centralised observability systems (logging, monitoring&alerting, tracing);
• Reporting on implementation progress and team activities.
