We’re looking for an experienced and driven Design Lead to join our team and elevate our standards to new heights. In this role, you will manage a team of product and marketing designers, partner closely with leadership, engineering, marketing, and content teams to advance Stape’s products, offer users powerful new tools, develop innovative ideas, and connect them to business objectives.

Key tasks:

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of product and marketing designers
• Foster a strong design culture by promoting effectiveness, experimentation, and continuous improvement
• Define and drive the overall design vision aligned with Stape’s product and brand
• Take broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into simple, intuitive, and scalable user experiences
• Explain and promote the value of design within the company
• Take full ownership of all design-related matters
• Continuously evaluate and improve design processes to drive efficiency and quality
• Support hiring efforts aligned with our evolving vision and needs

Your background::

• 5+ years in product design, with at least 2+ years in a lead or management role
• Proven experience building complex products for international markets
• Ability to see the big picture clearly and think strategically
• Strong self-management and communication skills
• Ability to analyze and solve complex problems
• Understanding how to balance user needs with business goals, considering the team’s capabilities
• Experience leading design reviews, giving and receiving constructive feedback
• Great attention to detail
• Comfort navigating ambiguity while bringing clarity to challenges that span design, technology, and business needs
• Proficiency with all relevant design tools
• Fluency in English (both verbal and written)

Would be a plus:

• Experience working in B2B SaaS or developer-focused products
• Scrum experience
