Job summary

Information Security at SQUAD is committed to maintaining the high-level security of our organization, products, and services. Security Operations plays an integral role in building and automating our critical security controls

As a Lead Security Engineer, you will deeply understand our infrastructure technology, and aim to identify and eliminate any emerging security vulnerabilities proactively. Your focus will be forward-facing, building dashboards, metrics, tools, and services that ensure the safety of the SQUAD corporate and production infrastructure. You will lead within the Information Security team by scoping and delivering tooling, services, and SLAs while mentoring your teammates to ensure they are delivering in accord with our team culture and practices.

Responsibilities and Duties

— Build, improve and contribute to Information Security’s mission and long-term goals
— Implement security standards and maintain best practices in development and operations
— Coordinate potential incident handling, response, investigation, and reporting activities with other teams and internal units
— Create custom searches, alerts and dashboards related to improving visibility on potential security threats
— Perform incident response and technical analysis
— Provide recommendations to improve information security posture
— Assess Software as a Service (SaaS) products for security compliance

Qualifications and Skills

— Leadership experience
— 5+ years of progressive experience in threat management and security operations
— Experience implementing security processes, protocols and policies in a technically diverse environment
— Passion for learning about adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP) and interest in creating innovative detection techniques
— Strong experience with scripting and automation
— Experience investigating security events and incidents
— Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
— Willingness to learn and improve
— Advanced level of written and spoken English

— Experience with AWS Cloud, Cisco Meraki, Okta
