Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team and help develop and support our innovative products and systems. In this role, you will work with a variety of teams that are involved in engineering, product development, implementation, and contract manufacturing. The ideal candidate is an inventive problem solver that is capable of working through technical challenges and employing pragmatic solutions to meet customers’ needs.

Responsibilities

— Develop concepts and circuit design of SoC/MCU-based electronic devices
— Design solutions and implementation for power electronics (spanning solar, wireless chargers, BLDC controllers, among others)
— Research solutions to complex technical problems under specific constraints, recommend viable and cost-effective approaches
— Review and analyze digital and analog schematics, layouts, timings, signal integrity and consumption
— Validate and troubleshoot devices through development and prepare related reports
— Work closely with other engineering groups (i.e. RF / Mechanical / Firmware engineering)
— Work closely with product team in making strategic technology-driven decisions
— Write required documentation

Qualifications and Skills

— BS degree or higher in Electronics or related field
— 5+ years of experience designing products in the consumer electronics space
— Practical knowledge of analog / digital circuit design principles, component selection and cost-schedule optimization strategies
— Deep understanding of electrical engineering standards and specifications
— Experience in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions
— Working knowledge of designing mixed-signal hardware schematics and layout using CAD tools
— Experience with high-speed digital electronics design
— Experience working with power harvesting, low power electronics, and battery powered electronics
— Experience solving thermal design challenges and outdoor, weatherproof product design
— Design and troubleshooting skills for power electronics
— Understanding product tradeoffs in the context of user experience
— Good written and spoken English

Nice to have

— Embedded C skills, Python and / or Matlab programming knowledge
— Basic knowledge of RF interface electronics
