We are looking for a Video Quality engineer who will be responsible for setting up and tuning video codecs’ quality parameters in order to provide the best picture quality that comply with network restrictions. You will be working with embedded devices that support bidirectional communication.
— Tune hardware encoders in order to maintain and receive the best image quality and compression levels according to limited bandwidth conditions
— Working on new Video Codec technologies
— Define the best video stream parameters for the available bandwidth such as bitrate, frame rate, resolution, etc
— Validation of video encoding parameters and algorithms
— Maintain and develop metrics and quality image acceptance criteria
— Support development of testing procedures for video quality tuning at scale
— Communication with encoder vendors
— Fundamental knowledge in video and image codec principles, algorithms, and techniques
— Knowledge and understanding of video compression standards, such as H.264, H.265
— Understanding of testing and validation procedures and processes
— Experienced in assessing visual quality using both objective metrics and techniques
— Familiarity with video processing algorithms such as scaling, noise reduction
— Basic programming skills

— Experience with Python or C/C++
— Experience with embedded systems will be a plus
— Familiarity with RTOS and Linux
