3 weeks ago I had an interview with this company for a Business Development Representative role. The interview itself went well, and I was genuinely interested in the company and the opportunity.

I was told I would receive feedback within a week. Before that week had even passed, I took my own initiative to prepare and send an outbound strategy document because I was genuinely motivated and interested in the role. No one asked me to do this, but I still invested my own time into it.

The promised timeline passed with no feedback, so I followed up myself to ask about the status of the process and whether the document had been reviewed. HR told me they would check with the hiring manager. I waited another week and sent another follow-up, which was completely ignored.

I understand that hiring processes can change and that companies may decide not to move forward with a candidate. That is completely normal. What is not professional, however, is ignoring candidates and providing no closure or communication at all, especially after clear interest and initiative were shown from the candidate’s side.

I usually do not leave public reviews, but after 3 weeks without any response or closure, I think transparency matters. If other candidates experience something similar, I want them to understand that sometimes the issue is not necessarily them, but the company’s communication and hiring process itself. For me personally, this became a red flag about how communication may be handled internally as well.
