Sales Trainee (LLM API)

Spendbase is launching LLM API, a standalone, open-source AI infrastructure product.

LLM API provides a unified API for companies building AI features in production. Instead of integrating directly with multiple LLM providers, teams use one stable platform to ensure reliability, cost control, and flexibility at scale.

We’re looking for a Sales Trainee ready to kick off a career in B2B sales of technical products. You’ll learn how to sell AI infrastructure alongside an experienced team and grow into an independent Sales role. This is the right fit if you’re curious about how technical products are sold to CTOs and engineering teams, and you thrive in a fast-moving, early-stage environment where learning happens every day.

What you’ll do:

  • Help build the outbound pipeline for LLM API (LinkedIn, email, cold outreach)
  • Research and identify potential customers
  • Prepare lead lists, personalized outreach messages, and follow-up sequences
  • Join discovery calls together with a senior manager, gradually transitioning to running them independently
  • Learn the technical side of the product to confidently communicate with technical stakeholders
  • Maintain the CRM: log activities, update lead statuses, and run disciplined follow-ups
  • Assist with basic pipeline and conversion reporting
  • Continuously learn — the product, ICP, sales methodologies, and objection handling

Who we’re looking for:

  • Basic understanding of how B2B sales work (pipeline stages, qualification, follow-ups) — from courses, self-study, internships, or short prior experience
  • Strong motivation to build a career in tech sales and willingness to learn quickly
  • Comfort with outbound activities: ready to write cold emails, reach out on LinkedIn, and send follow-ups
  • Curiosity about technology and AI — willingness to dive into how APIs, LLMs, and AI infrastructure work
  • Good communication skills and the ability to listen, not just pitch
  • Structured approach to work: attention to detail, discipline with CRM, ability to keep track of many leads
  • Comfort with an early-stage environment where processes and positioning evolve
  • English — Upper-Intermediate or higher (written and spoken)
  • Openness to feedback and readiness to iterate quickly

Nice to have:

  • Any prior experience in sales, customer support, lead generation, or SDR roles (including internships)
  • Completed sales courses or certifications
  • Basic familiarity with CRM tools (HubSpot, Pipedrive, Salesforce, etc.)
  • Interest in or exposure to APIs, cloud, infrastructure, or AI-related products
  • Experience working or interning at startups
