Spendbase is a spend management platform that helps companies take control of their SaaS subscriptions, vendor costs, and software spend. We combine AI-powered analytics with expert procurement support to give finance and procurement teams a single source of truth — and the leverage they need to reduce costs, streamline renewals, and make smarter buying decisions.
We’re growing fast and looking for a Procurement Director who will be at the core of our customer-facing delivery — shaping how we help companies buy better and spend smarter.
What you’ll do:
- Lead procurement engagements for Spendbase customers — from onboarding and spend diagnosis through to savings delivery and renewal cycles
- Drive and participate in vendor negotiations on behalf of customers, covering SaaS renewals, new purchases, and multi-year agreements
- Develop and own procurement methodologies, playbooks, and best practices that scale across the customer base
- Build relationships with key stakeholders (CFOs, Heads of IT, VP Finance) and act as a strategic partner throughout the engagement
- Analyse spend data using Spendbase tooling to identify savings opportunities and build business cases for vendor consolidation or renegotiation
- Collaborate with the Product team to surface customer insights that inform the platform roadmap
- Hire, mentor, and develop a team of procurement analysts and buyers as we scale
- Track and report on savings delivered, engagement health, and KPIs across the portfolio
What we’re looking for:
- 5+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management
- Strong track record of leading vendor negotiations and delivering measurable cost savings
- Experience with SaaS or technology procurement (a strong plus)
- Comfortable working directly with senior stakeholders — you can navigate a CFO conversation as easily as a vendor negotiation
- Data-driven mindset — you use spend analytics to build and defend recommendations
- Previous experience in a consultancy, managed services, or customer-facing procurement role is a major plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to build and lead a high-performing team
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with SaaS pricing models, licensing structures, and renewal cycles
- Experience working in or with a B2B SaaS company
- CIPS, CPSM, or equivalent procurement certification
- Experience building procurement processes from scratch in a scale-up environment
- Exposure to spend management tools
What we offer:
- Competitive compensation and regular performance reviews
- Paid vacation, sick leave, and overtime compensation
- Online medical consultations
- Career growth opportunities through ownership and responsibility
- Remote-first culture with flexible working hours
If you’re excited about the intersection of procurement expertise and SaaS technology — and want to help build something that genuinely changes how companies manage spend — we’d love to hear from you!
