Our client operates a leading global network for mobile top-up solutions, innovative mobile rewards and airtime credit services.
Able to provide greater access to digital communications for over five billion people across. emerging economies, resulting in more active participation in the global economy. Global network interconnects more than 550 mobile operators across 180 countries and delivers smarter data-driven mobile solutions to ensure that no one is left unconnected.

You’ll work with the following stack

Core services tech stack is hosted on Amazon Web Services.
Main tech stack consists of PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB, SQS, Perl, Go, Python, Node.js, Vue.js, and Docker.

We’re looking for you if you have

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development with a track record of developing and/or leading teams in producing production-grade low-latency APIs.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale critical software projects.
• Strong expertise in Perl programming language.
• Strong technical foundation and hands-on expertise in open-source and cloud technologies; demonstrable hands-on expertise in AWS and Unix systems.
• Strong architectural and system design skills in technologies such as distributed systems, cloud computing, event-driven systems, and REST API design.
• Strong expertise with various datastores (RDBMS, NoSQL, Event Store, Messaging Queues, etc).
• Demonstrated expertise in setting up CI/CD pipelines.
• Demonstrated expertise in instrumenting mission-critical distributed systems and setting up monitoring, alerting, and escalation processes for mission-critical systems.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proven track record of providing technical leadership and direction for software development teams.
• Excellent organizational skills to successfully coordinate the efforts of the team.
• Ability to think strategically, anticipate future developments, and provide vision.

As a qualified expert, you will:

• Lead all initiatives related to the productization, design, development, and operations of all core platforms, applications, and services of DT One.
• Maintain the CORE platform, ensuring scalability, performance and it meets and exceeds the uptime SLA.
• Provide L3 support for production & critical issues as & when required.
• Mentor a global network of software, solution delivery, and infrastructure engineers, providing guidance to enhance their technical and professional skills.
• Design and develop scalable, robust, and highly-efficient software systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers and operations to define product roadmaps and align on project objectives.
• Write, create, and design comprehensive technical references and documentation.
• Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making in the greater technology team, continuously improving development processes, tools, and methodologies.

Bonus Points

• Go language is very nice to have. Demonstrable open source contributions in these languages.
• Demonstrated experience in database performance tuning and administration.
• Hands-on experience in Jenkins Pipelines, GitHub Actions, and similar technologies.
• Hands-on expertise in Grafana/Prometheus, DataDog, Splunk and similar technologies.
