We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst / BI Engineer to join us as part of our team.

About the role
Big international company whose main business is related to gift cards and their functioning: issuing and distribution of cards, processing of payments, exchanging, refilling, etc. It also operates with many other types of digital content like eGIfts, incentive cards, promotions, rewards, etc. The company has several e-commerce sites and platforms that are helping to distribute the gift card products. Also the company has a bunch of own core services that perform all the management of gift cards in the ecosystem.

You’ll work with the following stack

Redshift / PostgeSQL, Matillion, Python (or other scripting language), AWS, Power BI, QlikSense, Microstrategy
Schedule
Flexible. Usual time of team meetings — between 5pm and 8pm.

As a qualified expert, You will

To be an expert in data on whole business
Data analysis, transformation, filtering, cleansing, segmentation, classification, etc.
Creation of reports and dashboards
Enhancing, verification and reconciliation of existing dashboards and reports on Microstrategy, PowerBI, Qlik.
Building and supporting ETL jobs
Troubleshooting data issues within reports
Performance optimization of reports and ETLs
Communication with US partners via online conferencing

We’re looking for you if you have
Technical education
4+ years experience in IT area working with data
Strong SQL knowledge
Experience working with data analysis and reports
Experience with any BI tools (for ex. Microstrategy, Qlik, PowerBI, Tableau, QuickSight)
Understanding of client-server architecture
Understanding of all data types
Experience working with file formats: JSON, CSV, XML
Understanding of relational database and ETL concepts
Good experience with Excel: formulas, charts, pivot tables, etc
Strong analytical and logical thinking
Strong desire and ability to learn fast
Good communication skills, pro-activity
English level — Upper intermediate or higher

Bonus Points
Knowledge of any scripting languages: Python, Bash, PowerShell, VBScript
Experience with databases: Redshift or PostgreSQL
Experience working with Microstrategy, Matillion, AWS S3
