We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join us as part of our team.

It was founded in 1997 and has since grown into one of the largest and most popular companies in the domain registration and web hosting industry. GoDaddy provides a wide range of services to individuals and businesses, including domain registration, website hosting, payments solutions, website builders, email services and more.

GoDaddy offers a comprehensive payment solution to facilitate and secure transactions and make the payment process more convenient for their customers. With their payment solution, GoDaddy aims to streamline the process of purchasing and managing their services.

Also GoDaddy provides a smart payment terminal solution that made a revolution in the payment industry for offline businesses (stores, restaurants, SPAs etc.). It provides the next level all-in-one e-commerce solution that turns a payment terminal into a smart device with lots of features for business. These Android based terminals support all modern payment technologies, including traditional magstripe cards, EMV (chip and pin), NFC (Google Wallet and Apple Play), Bluetooth, QR codes, and beacon technology. GoDaddy has clients in the US, UK, Canada, EU and begins its expansion to Asia.

Team

The Risk team at GoDaddy Payments, where we are looking for new team member, plays a crucial role in ensuring the security and reliability of transactions made through the platform. They analyze customer applications and transaction data to identify potential risks and prevent fraudulent activities. Joining this team means working on projects that involve in-depth analysis of customer behavior and transaction patterns during the use of GoDaddy Payments. The candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of cutting-edge risk mitigation strategies, ensuring a safe and trustworthy payment environment for GoDaddy customers.

4 Java devs, 2 JS devs, 1 QAA, 1 TL.

You’ll work with the following stack

Java 11, Spring Boot, Gradle, Junit 5, RestAssured.

As a qualified expert, You will

• Creating and improving API test automation framework;
• Writing tests to increase coverage;
• Test data and test environment preparations;
• Creating reporting for the automation runs;
• Perform manual testing activity when required;
• Create and maintain test documentation;
• Active communication with PO, BA, Tech lead, development team and other stakeholders. Participation in grooming sessions, planning sessions and retrospectives.

We’re looking for you if you have

• Strong Java skills and knowledge complemented by a proven track record in automated testing of backend systems;
• Profound knowledge of relational databases, particularly MySQL, with the capability to draft and validate SQL queries;
• Robust understanding of CI/CD processes and tools;
• Good experience with Git as a version control system;
• Demonstrated expertise in constructing and overseeing CI/CD pipelines specifically for testing;
• Acquaintance with containerization technologies, primarily Docker;
• Familiarity with JUnit for unit testing and integration tests in Java environments.

Bonus Points

• Understanding and familiarity with the Kafka ecosystem, emphasizing testing methodologies for streaming data;
• Experience in working with Spring Boot applications.
