Technology set: MySQL, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, GCP, Python, Terraform.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of commercial experience as an SRE engineer
• Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including provisioning, managing, and optimizing cloud resources for reliability and scalability.
• Proficiency in Terraform (or other IaC tools) for automating cloud infrastructure management and deployment.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes (K8S) and Helm for deploying and managing containerized applications at scale.
• Experience with APM tools such as NewRelic or similar for application monitoring, alerting, and performance troubleshooting.
• Expertise in managing and optimizing relational databases like MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Hands-on experience improving CI/CD pipeline reliability and efficiency, ensuring smooth automated deployments.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash for automation, system management, and troubleshooting.
• Deep understanding of web server configuration and optimization including nginx or similar for handling high traffic and ensuring reliability.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application issues, including root cause analysis and incident response.
• English — Upper-Intermediate.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure on GCP using Terraform to automate provisioning and configuration management.
• Set up and maintain robust monitoring, alerting, and performance analysis systems ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
• Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot performance and availability of relational database issues ensuring data integrity and high availability.
• Configure and optimize web servers for high availability and scalability, ensuring quick response times and minimal downtime.
• Automate routine operational tasks and infrastructure management
• Troubleshoot critical system issues across web servers and cloud infrastructure, and ensure timely resolution.
