Our client is an Asset Management department of one of Top 20 world banks (from Canada). The squad you’ll be working in will be created for the UK division of investment products. The client values strong communication skills.
It’s a new project of a bank department which works with capital investments. Your colleagues would be mostly engineers and business users from London. Even though it is a bank, you’ll work on a pretty agile and self-organized team without micromanagement and with high expectations to your proactivity and self-organization. There are no BAs or PM’s in a team as the client believes that the engineer has to work directly with business users. That is why you’ll be able to learn a lot about finances and capital markets domain during your work. Your technical squad will be of 2 people, but you’ll have a lot of interaction with business users
Tech. stack: Python 3+, pandas, Flask, Dash, Angular 2+, SQL Server, Docker, Kubernetes (Openshift), microservices architecture, ETL pipelines, and airflow orchestrator
Requirements:
- Middle+ seniority level of commercial experience building web applications from both FE and BE (full stack)
- Experience with Python 3+, pandas, Flask, Dash, JS/TS, SQL Server, Docker, Kubernetes (Openshift)
- Experience working with microservices architecture
- Experience with ETL pipelines and airflow orchestrators would be a plus
- Strong communication skills
- Understanding of business domain (finance, investments etc.) would be a plus
- Working in SCRUM methodology and tools (Jira, confluence)
- Upper-Intermediate English level
Responsibilities:
- Building products for investment teams (mostly backend work, but some frontend and SQL as well).
- Communication with business users
- Communication with customers and team from Canadian side
