We’re looking for a Middle Scrum master to join a national education nonprofit project, dedicated to providing high-quality educational resources for children, families, communities, and partners to deliver excellence and equity for all learners. Customer’s mission is achieved and supported by three pillars: Equity and Access, Family Empowerment, and Universal Literacy.

Requirements:

• Exemplifies and promotes Agile values and principles
• Certified as a Scrum Master and has had at least 2 years of experience working with Scrum
• Ability to analyze and think quickly to resolve conflict
• Strong communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills
• Ability to adapt to a change environment
• Knowledgeable in techniques to fill in gaps in the Scrum Process

Responsibilities:

• Lead our development teams using Agile methodologies and Scrum practices
• Work with Product Owners to translate epics, stories, and maintain the Product Backlog
• Work with Product Owners to ensure stories are ready for Grooming meetings
• Making sure everyone on the team understands project goals and scope
• Facilitates Scrum Events (Daily Stand-Up, Sprint Planning, and Sprint Retrospectives)
• Help the development teams to remove blockers, handle escalations, and works to protect the Development Teams and their sprint commitments
• Reports sprint risks, interrupts, and cross-team dependencies to the department’s Senior Scrum Master
