About the role
We’re staffing engineers for a US-based scalable payment solutions platform serving SMBs, entrepreneurs, and fintech startups. The platform processes payments across multiple channels and scenarios, combining security, scalability, and simplicity.
Backend-first role. AI tooling experience is a must — the team actively uses AI coding tools in daily development.
Requirements
Must-have:
• 5—6+ years of professional experience
• PHP Laravel (or similar modern PHP framework) — production level
• React.js or Vue.js — solid working level
• Docker, Kubernetes
• Redis, Memcached
• GraphQL
• Logging and monitoring systems (e.g., Logz.io or similar)
• Understanding of cloud-native / SaaS architectures (scalability, resilience, multitenancy)
• Experience with AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or similar) — mandatory
• English B2—C2
Nice-to-have:
• Experience with payment processing or fintech systems
• Agentic AI tooling experience (autonomous coding agents)
• Experience with merchant management or billing systems
Responsibilities
• Full software development lifecycle: planning, design, implementation, code review, testing, deployment
• Backend development (Laravel) — primary focus
• Frontend development (React.js or Vue.js) — secondary
• Work within Scrum team alongside PMs, QA, and other engineers
• Build high-quality, secure software for merchant management functionality
• Participate in architectural discussions and technical decision-making
• 2-hour daily overlap with US team —
