Softwarium is looking for a QA Automation Engineer (JavaScript) to join our development team. We offer a full-time remote position with a fast and transparent recruitment process.
We develop software for customers in the US, Canada, and Norway across the education, healthcare, energy, and security domains.
Project details
The project is for a customer based in Stavanger, Norway. It focuses on developing a product for data processing and graphical visualization in the oil industry.
Technologies: TypeScript, WebdriverIO, Azure DevOps.
Development Team: 3 Backend Developers, 3 Frontend Developers, Project Manager, Product Owner (based in Norway).
QA Team: 1 Junior QA (80% manual, 20% automation), You (100% automation).
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript-based automation frameworks (WebdriverIO, Cypress, Playwright)
- 4+ years of full-time experience in test automation
- Practical experience with Azure DevOps pipelines
- Experience with test case management tools such as TestRail or similar (we use Testiny.io)
- Experience in troubleshooting software/system issues and identifying root causes of failures in automated tests
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
- Upper-Intermediate or higher English level (spoken and written)
- Ability to adapt to challenges and continuously improve processes in a fast-paced technical environment
Key Responsibilities
- Support and extend the existing UI and API automation framework (WebdriverIO + TypeScript + Jasmine)
- Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines in Azure Releases (10 environments)
- Prepare and present weekly status reports to stakeholders
