What knowledge of networking is expected:
• DHCP and DNS including Windows, Cisco, ISC, Cisco ASA , BIND. You will also have excellent opportunity to enrich your Linux experience. Generally, here at IPAM we are dealing with protocols like : ICMP, SMNP, DNS, DHCP.

What is required to succeed on this position:
• Production experience with .NET, C# and SQL (but if you are also proud of your personal projects, we’d be more then glad to hear about them)
• Strong problem solving skills
• Understanding of why to use refactoring, write unit tests and do code reviews
• Acceptable spoken/written English — not lower than Intermediate level. English is used on daily basis.
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Our customer, one of the largest international companies in the networking area, develops enterprise information technology (IT) infrastructure management software for IT professionals. It is headquartered in Austin, Texas, with a number of sales and product development offices around the world (e.g. in Lehi, Utah; Brno, Czech Republic; Krakow, Poland and Sydney, Australia). The company hosts an online community called THWACK. This customer has over millions users in the world.

Having very well-established cooperation with SoftServe our customers addressed us with a request to find the best experts in .NET Web technologies, having good knowledge in networking and exceptional skills in problem identification, troubleshooting, debugging and bug fixing.

Now SoftServe is expanding one of the teams working on IPAM project: IP Address Manager (IPAM) leverages an intuitive web interface to allow you to easily investigate IP address space issues. By scanning the network for IP address changes, IPAM maintains a dynamic list of IP addresses and allows engineers to plan for network growth, ensure IP space usage meets standards, and helps troubleshoot IP address conflicts. IPAM also allows you to manage and monitor your DHCP & DNS servers. Windows, Cisco, ASA, BIND, and ISC are currently supported.

The project has both active development and maintenance phases. The team uses SCRUM (or sometimes Kanban) methodology.

What technologies are used on the project:
Back-End: .NET 4.5, ASP.NET Web Forms, ADO.NET, we are using our own framework for managing data access. WCF, Web Services
Front-End: Mostly Sencha ExtJS for creating UI controls.
