We are searching for talented engineers who are looking for a unique opportunity to help integrate award-winning, best-of-breed security into a broad range of our client networking products. The team’s focus is on addressing challenging integration problems while providing a fun and interesting environment, filled with opportunities to learn new technologies. Specifically, the team is responsible for implementing porting IPS and related functionality into new and existing client’s products through the use of containers.

According to the proposed architecture, we are implementing a solution using VPP and its extensions. Our solution is an extremely reliable and efficient VPP plugin with insane throughput, which is written in Rust by the way, along with other needed infrastructural components.

YOU ARE

A holder of the following expertise

• MS/BS degree in CS, or equivalent
• Developing performance-critical applications
• Writing unit tests and practicing test-driven development
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in a collaborative environment
• Real-world practice with Cloud technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, AWS EC2), L2-L4 networking (e.g. Ethernet VLAN, IPv4, TCP, UDP)
• Systems languages: C, C++, Rust, Linux-based environments
• Intermediate Strong+ English

Experience with any of the following would be a huge advantage

• Data plane development (e.g. DPDK, VPP framework)
• Virtual networking (e.g. IETF RFC 8300, 7348, 7665)
• Security and cryptography

YOU WANT TO WORK WITH

Our goals: implement reliable and efficient VPP plugins in Rust, provide convenient VPP Rust API for further plugins development, ensure that Rust performance is by no means worse than the performance of the equivalent C code, help the VPP team to extend current VPP functionality, and share Rust API with open source community, share our experience to help build a more secure and robust tomorrow

• Building great solutions! This will include the design and development of innovative solutions to integrate existing technologies into new products and market offerings
• Contribution to all phases of software development, from requirements gathering through implementation, automation, and sustaining
• Listening to internal users, team members, and customers to help encourage open collaboration
• Creating excellent, comprehensible communication around our systems: documentation, example code, screencasts, prototypes, etc.
• Making the complexities of network security systems understandable and, where possible, simple
• Contribution to the development of project goals, schedules, and resource planning
• Submitting and commenting on pull requests
