WE ARE
Our client is a top Meal Delivery Service with over eight years of experience in the area. The founders wanted to cook at home with their families but they found grocery shopping and menu planning time-consuming and expensive. Therefore, they hand-packed the first Food boxes by themselves, delivered them to family and friends, and received immediate positive feedback. Since those initial deliveries, the company has scaled rapidly and sends over 8 million meal kit boxes per month.
The customers can prepare the desirable meal with step-by-step instructions and perfectly proportioned ingredients that are delivered to them. The company also sells wine which can be paired with the meals ordered.
The client, headquartered in New York, operates exclusively in the United States. The number of employees is up to 5,000. The application is hosted on AWS cloud. The application has integration with FedEx delivery service on both web and mobile platforms.
As a DevOps Engineer, you will join with Infrastructure team of systematic problem-solvers to turn agreed-upon ideas into reality. With a large focus on driving to more robust infrastructure both in our technology and across our business by lowering our tech debt, improving our baseline technical capabilities, and supporting operations in doing the same there.

YOU ARE
A DevOps Engineer demonstrating industry experience with the following activities, tools, and technologies
• Over 2 years of expertise in provisioning, operations, and management of AWS environments
• Knowledge of operating system administration( *nix-like OS are preferable)
• Creation of highly automated infrastructures based on the best DevOps practices
• Comprehensive knowledge regarding contemporary processes and methodologies for development and operations
• Creation of technical documentation or architecture visions covering quality attributes, diagrams, associated risks, technical and system requirements
• Code development in at least one high-level programming language(one of the following if preferable: Python, Ruby, Groovy Scripting)

YOU WANT TO WORK WITH
• Designed cloud infrastructure that is secure, scalable, and highly available on AWS
• Software engineering to define infrastructure and deployment requirements
• Provisioning, configuring, and maintaining AWS cloud infrastructure defined as code
• Ensuring configuration and compliance with configuration management tools
• Administering and troubleshooting Linux based systems
• Troubleshooting problems across a wide array of services and functional areas
• Building and maintaining operational tools for deployment, monitoring, and analysis of AWS infrastructure and systems
• Performing infrastructure cost analysis and optimization

• Act as a consultant on different projects with a flexible schedule
• Work with deployment, automation, management, and maintenance of AWS cloud-based production system
• Ensure availability, performance, security, and scalability of AWS production systems
• Manage creation, release, and configuration of production systems
• Evaluate new technology alternatives and vendor products
• Perform system troubleshooting and problem resolution across various application domains and platforms
• Complete pre-production acceptance testing for quality assurance
• Provision of critical system security by leveraging best practices and prolific cloud security solutions
• Provide recommendations for architecture and process improvements
• Define and deploy systems for metrics, logging, and monitoring on the AWS platform
• Design, maintain and manage tools for automation of different operational processes
