YOU ARE
Our perfect candidate has a grip on understanding the business aspect of the client’s products and delivering all kinds of user assistance. You are to communicate with system-oriented developers and business-oriented stakeholders effectively, drive full-dress investigation before getting down to presenting your findings to the audience, and organize various types of information into self-contained pieces.
Your competencies include
• Up to 1 year of TC experience
• Bachelor or Master degree in Applied Linguistics, Linguistics, Translation, Interpretation, or similar
• Upper-intermediate or advanced level of English
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills
• Ability to write using simple ’global’ English
• A concept of Microsoft, Apple, Chicago, and other writing style guidelines
• Knowledge of writing processes and approaches
• Knowledge of basic principles of UI text and microcopy writing
• A skill in API documentation basics
• Knowledge of methodologies of software development, project lifecycle, and roles
• Solid background of MS Office tools (primarily in Word and PowerPoint)
• Skill in any HAT or DTP tool, basic workflows (Adobe Technical Communication Suite tools, MadPak Professional Suite tools, Zendesk, Confluence, etc.)
• Experience working in screen-capturing and video development tools is preferable
• Knowledge about HTML, CSS, or XML
• Understanding of source control principles

YOU WANT TO WORK WITH
A possibility to
• Perform relevant project investigation: available requirements for user assistance, including scope, end-users, TC tools, acceptance criteria, and brand recommendations
• Conform to the TechComm project requirements, follow style recommendations and guidelines
• Work efficiently in templates, develop simple document templates from scratch
• Prepare an outline for user assistance and develop topic or sections
• Arrange the material in such a way as to ensure usability and convenient navigation
• Interview subject matter experts: prepare appropriate material for the interview, conduct, and use the information received for the documentation development, clarify details when necessary
• Ensure that SMEs provide technical review of your content
• Review API endpoint descriptions
• Develop simple technical illustrations (diagrams, workflows, and similar)
• Design presentation following brand and basic composition rules
• Follow project schedule and priorities, estimate TC tasks to plan and align your own work
• Review own content for linguistic, technical, and spelling mistakes as well as for brand compliance
• Follow established processes for content development
• Create simple videos for the product (simulation and/or animation)
