DevOps Engineer

About the project:

Our Client is a New York fintech company. They are SaaS solutions provider in the workforce spend management industry. Their product is a platform for corporate card and expense management. The type of cards being used is Visa prepaid.

The system comprises admin and cardholder portals to perform their operations. It also prepares a document needed for card production. It can be customized and solution can be used as a white-label.

The environment is a mix of Windows and Linux machines that reside on-premise and in the cloud. It is crucial that all work is performed under strict adherence to PCI DSS requirements, and the environment is required to be available 24×7.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience with Linux and at least one programming/automation language (e.g. Powershell, ShellScript, Python, Go, C# .NetCore);
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker;
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (e.g. Azure, AWS) as well as Infrastructure-as-Code tooling adn automation (e.g. Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD practices.;
  • Familiarity with monitoring, tracing and logging tools (e.g. Zabbix, SumoLogic), including concepts such as SLI/SLO and error budgets;
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues;
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team;
  • Experience with incident management and incident response;
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols and concepts;
  • Strong understanding of security concepts and best practices;
  • Ability to operate individually and as part of a team;
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems.

Will be a plus:

  • Web firewall / Azure front door understanding;

Responsibilities:

  • Windows and Linux servers maintenance — hybrid environment;
  • Docker containers development and maintenance;
  • CI / CD pipelines management;
  • Windows and Linux updating;
  • Vulnerabilities management.
