About Company:

SoftConstruct conducts basic and applied research in four key areas: data science, computer vision, big data, real-time processing. Our experience is extremely wide: from working with complex computer and engineering systems, programming for data science — to developing and putting into practice innovative solutions in the field of sports, eSports and security.

We are looking for a Python Software Engineer for the challenging computer vision project. We are developing the risk management solution, a custom solution designed to automatically validate the information from the user. The product, based on advanced techniques of computer vision and data science. Application of neural networks makes it easy to determine the use of a photo editor, automatically process user data and compare it with the input data.

Skills & Experience:

• 4+ years of experience in Python (Django);
• Experience with designing, implementing RESTful API’s;
• Experience working on relational databases (PostgreSQL);
• Experience working on NoSQL databases (Redis);
• Experience working on job scheduling, task queues;
• Experience with Cloud Services (preference to Google Cloud Platform);
• Experience working on Linux, Kubernetes, Docker;
• Experience in incorporating and utilizing BDD / TDD / Unit testing;
• Extensive knowledge of best practices in software design and design patterns;
• Strong Computer Science fundamentals.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of another programming language;
• Some experience in Machine Learning.

Main responsibilities:

• Development and support of Python applications, setup and maintain backend infrastructure;
• Designing and implementing REST-based APIs;
• Participate in complex project design teams;
• Work closely with data scientist, design and building pipelines for Machine Learning;
• Define, design and implement different API/data integrations based on business needs and requirements.
