Our tech stack/environment includes: Java, Lucene, Elastic, Hadoop/Spark, Javascript, Postgres, AWS, Git.

Required Skills and Qualifications

— 5+ years of backend engineering experience (Java, Spring Data, Hibernate ORM, Tomcat, SOAP and REST web services)
— Experienced in creating highly available systems, designing architecture and advanced analytics operations
— Experience with object-oriented design (design patterns, layered application design, MVC and Dependency Injection patterns, etc.)
— Experience with Postgres 10+, Lucene & AWS Elasticsearch, cluster and cloud computing (Hadoop, Spark)
— Experience with release and build management (Maven)
— Experience with testing, code coverage and QA (jUnit, Selenium, Cobertura, SonarQube)
— Experience with AWS environment (EC2 instances, Elastic Beanstalk applications) and Git
— English level Intermediate or higher
— A sense of urgency and ownership over the product
