Middle Java Engineer (вакансія неактивна)

In order to shape the new payment software of SIXT SE we are searching for experienced Java engineers who love designing, building and managing complex systems. Our holding, Sixt SE, significantly exceeds market expectations.

Responsibilities:

— Develop backend services using Java

— Work with PostgreSQL, write optimized SQL queries

— Maintain existing codebase, participate in code reviews

— Take part in regular team meetings, architectural discussions, and planning

— Communicate with other teams, developers about business, and technical requirements and the implementation

Key Skills:

— Experience with Java (at least version 8), Spring-boot

— Strong knowledge of OOP principles

— Experience designing and implementing REST APIs

— Understanding of microservices architecture principles

— Strong SQL knowledge and experience with PostgreSQL

— Experience with message brokers: Kafka, SQS or similar in the context of event-driven architectures

— Experience with container technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, ECS (basic usage)

— Experiance AI Agentic coding

— Ability to write clean, maintainable code

— Analytical thinking and attention to detail

— Upper-intermediate English
