Customer:
Our customer is a startup from the UK that is extremely open to the professional opinion of the team, so you will have a chance to initiate changes, choose technologies and approaches.
Project:
You will work on an efficient visual platform, which dramatically improves the experience of browsing the web on any device without any plugins or responsive design. The platform is hosted on AWS cloud. Jenkins is now used as a primary CI/CD tool (pipelines, shared libs). Implemented multi-region failover (Route53, AWS Aurora Global, s3 replication). All services are hosted in AWS EKS and are described as Helm packages. Content delivers via AWS CDN. All infrastructure is described and deployed by Terraform. In future, we plan to implement active-active deployment in a few regions.
As a part of our project, you can use all modern technologies like Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, Python (for DevOps scripts) and work together with a big professional team.
Responsibilities:
- Take part in environment/architecture planning
- Automate CI/CD and other processes on a project
- Optimize the existing environments/structure
- Design operational playbooks and policies supporting organizational security posture
- Support our development for existing environments
- Consult development team on infrastructure related questions
Requirements:
- 3 years’ experience working with Linux
- Experience with Bash, Python
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins)
- 1.5+ years’ experience with Cloud providers (AWS)
- Experience with DB (MySQL, PostgreSQL), no-SQL DB (Redis)
- Good knowledge and understanding in area of web- and app- technology/servers (Nginx)
- Deep understanding of Docker orchestration tools Docker-Compose/Kubernetes
- Atlassian stack (Jira, Confluence) advanced user
- Upper-Intermediate level of English
