About project:
The software operates within the oil and gas sector, focusing on forecasting production and revenue from oil wells and managing the flow of oil/gas through pipes for large companies. Additionally, it streamlines the tedious task of completing FERC (US Federal Regulatory Agency) requirements for monitoring Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions at a production facility. The project entails developing user-friendly forms that gather input, integrate this data with information from a NoSQL database, and generate comprehensive reports for users.

Your area of responsibility:

• Understanding the client’s use of data and the stakeholder’s requirements to support work processes and strategic business objectives;
• Working with data and software engineering techniques to create business value through data accessibility. Includes data ingestion, data preparation, data quality and analytics processing;
• Identifying, acquiring, cleansing/preparing, storing data, and developing reusable data products aligned with defined architecture patterns;
• Effectively working with cross-disciplinary collaborators and partners across multiple business entities;
• Development and design of reliable and scalable data infrastructure;
• Responsible for service reliability and following site-reliability engineering standards.

Skills and requirements:

• Advanced SQL knowledge;
• OLAP, OLTP, Streaming & Document Database experience;
• Apache Pinot, CockroachDB, Kafka & MongoDB (or equivalent);
• Deep and hands-on experience (typically 4+ years) designing, planning, productionizing;
• Experiences in coding for analytics, optimization for performance, reusability, and cost-effectiveness;
• Experience in REST API, .NET, Python;
• At least 3 years of experience with Python programming language;
• Cloud computing, big data computing (GCP, Azure, AWS);
• Data Acquisition, wrangling and preparation;
• Data movement and transformation;
• Fundamentals of core data architecture, information security, and software engineering.

Will be a plus:

• Prior experience in the energy industry or experience in time-series analytics.
