Data Engineer

Your Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy production-grade backend data solutions, from initial research and architecture through development, testing, and release.
• Collaborate closely with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Product Managers, Architects, and other R&D teams to deliver high-impact, business-driven solutions.
• Own data pipelines and platforms in production, ensuring high availability, scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data workflows and systems in live environments.
• Partner with Data Science teams to support advanced analytics, modeling, and experimentation.

Mandatory Skills

• 3+ years of hands-on experience building and operating Big Data solutions in production environments.
• Strong experience with Big Data frameworks such as Apache Spark and/or Apache Flink.
• Proven ability to write complex, efficient SQL queries.
• Production-level experience developing Spark applications using Scala or Java.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail.
• Fluent spoken and written English.

Would Be a Plus

• Experience with Apache Airflow and AWS services (EMR, Glue, Athena).
• Solid knowledge of Python and Linux environments.
• Experience working with ClickHouse.
• Familiarity with the Ad Tech ecosystem, including RTB (Real-Time Bidding).
• Experience with functional programming, unit testing / TDD, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Node.js.
