Work with development to represent operational needs and collaborate to implement operational improvements in the products.
Drive the execution of the product hosting strategy with input from cloud operations snr mgmt.
Select, learn and educate peers on important technologies e.g Chef and AWS for our future planned deployment models as well as SDLs products as needed.
Participate in technical retrospectives to identify root cause analysis or make recommendations for change for the future that improve the service to SDLs customers.
Maintain relationships with stakeholders in service delivery, product management, development and other operational groups to ensure information is shared and collaboration occurs as appropriate cross-functionally.
Maintain and develop automation scripts in source control to reduce the risk of human error.
Maintain and develop cookbooks in source control to implement declarative configuration where possible for both products and infrastructure to ensure a controlled and consistent environment.
Plan, monitor and progress other technical projects to implement infrastructure and process improvements and contribute to departmental strategic projects.
Work with the management team to identify and roadmap the elimination of technical debt.
Provide consultancy/advice to other teams as needed.

The successful candidate will join an existing team of engineers with responsibility for managing and maintaining the infrastructure and applications relating to our Global Content Management products. The applications are predominate.Net and Windows Server/SQL server based and increasingly deployed in a public cloud deployment model (AWS). As part of our Cloud Operations organization the successful candidate and their team will contribute to ensuring the best uptime, performance and security of SDL’s customers as well as ensuring that our team have ownership and appropriate levels of attention to continue to support the business needs.
