Our rapidly expanding startup of video streaming platform Belive needs a creative and innovative VP R&D to join our executive team.

We’re looking for a Vice President (VP) R&D with experience managing agile development teams. Our VP R&D will be responsible for ensuring that products meet design requirements, and deliver a consistent experience for users. You’ll be managing an entire team of engineers and developers, collaborating with the product managers, as well as guiding the company’s product vision and maintaining compliance with quality standards.

Responsibilities
Lead, manage and mentor a team of engineers and related personnel.
Know how to recruit and develop top engineering talent.
Develop standards and procedures to ensure quality standards are met and maintained.
Extensive engineering expertise in the areas of tooling, prints, specifications, product maintenance, budgeting and software products.
Understand and collaborate on complete product lifecycle from concept to execution.
Recommends new technology and ideas to improve sprints and efficiency.
Build, develops and manages the engineering team capable of carrying out initiatives.

Bachelor’s degree in business management or related field; MBA or master’s in the related field is a plus
Experience with Scrum and agile development processes and methodologies
Good understanding of backend services, frontend and mobile technologies and architecture, including security, privacy and performance implications
5+ years of hands-on industry experience in software development, specifically in one or more of Angular2+, ReactJS, Vue.js, Ruby on Rails
Experience with deploying production systems to cloud development environments such as AWS/GCP/Azure
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong team building skills and ability to motivate others
Willing to take responsibility and act independently when necessary
