We offer the opportunity for an energetic and ambitious Тechnical Leader to join our engineering team.
Scalr is a SaaS product company that builds the next generation of Cloud Management Platform for enterprises: highly focused on Terraform, DevOps, GitOps, everything as code, consistency, simplicity.

By joining our team, you’ll face the challenges and tradeoffs of building a highly reliable production system. The principal stack is TypeScript (React) as a frontend, Python, MySQL, RabbitMQ, Docker as a backend, and many various libraries for different problem domains: cloud, networking, data, vcs integrations, etc.

About the role:
As a Lead Engineer, you will contribute in many ways — architecting systems, creating and encouraging good software development practices engineering, driving strategic technical improvements, and mentoring other engineers. Building a product is a highly collaborative effort, and as such, a strong team player with a commitment to perfection is required.

Responsibilities:
Build a top-performing frontend team
Work together with other tech leads and architects
Participate in all aspects of software development activities including design, scoping, coding, code review, and bug fixing
Design architecture of existing and new features
Share your knowledge and experience with teammates
Participation in recruiting and onboarding
Run technology investigations, coach, and motivate engineers to disclose the power of agile practices while building good software

Skills and competencies:
Proven previous experience in technical leadership positions. Someone capable of mentoring, navigating cross-functional teams, and making high-quality technical decisions.
Experience with building highly-secured web application
Deep JavaScript and TypeScript knowledge
Knowledge of browser internals, native DOM, Event APIs, code profiling
OOP and Functional Programming
React
Broad knowledge of trends
Understanding of REST, Docker, CI/CD, unit/e2e testing
Great communicator with outstanding analytical skills
Passion for sharing knowledge, guiding and navigating others
Solid computer science fundamentals. Degree in CS, Mathematics, Physics, etc.
English — B2 or higher
