SQA Automation Engineer (вакансія неактивна)

Samsung R&D Institute Ukraine is looking for a passionate and collaborative SQA engineer to join our team in Kyiv.

You will be involved in comprehensive testing of system components of Android technology stack for Samsung flagship devices in use by hundreds of millions of users worldwide.

More specifically:

You will be involved in full testing cycle of Android consumer electronics:

• test plan development, test cases implementation, reporting, automation
• targets: mobile phones, tablets, watches
• various test types specific to Linux stack security components
• collaborate with development teams to ensure that automation tests are integrated into the CI/CD pipeline
• participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of software testing best practices
• monitor and report on the status of automated tests, identifying and resolving issues as necessary
• work with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize areas for automation

Major Requirements

• 2+ years of commercial SQA experience with Linux-based solutions
• automation experience: scripting (Python, shell), basic development exp. (C/C++ or Java)
• solid theoretical SQA knowledge (functional/stress/performance/compatibility tests)
• understanding of related production processes (like SDLC) and best practices (Continuous Integration, Infrastructure as Code etc.)
• experience with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions
• virtual environments support\deployment experience (Docker or others)
• excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• strong communication and collaboration skills
• Bachelor degree
• good technical English

Optional Requirements

• professional certification (such as ISTQB) is welcome
• experience with testing frameworks (Google Test, JUnit, pytest or unittest)
• test documentation development experience (test plan, test cases, checklists)
• continuous integration system experience (TeamCity, Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
• exp. with static/dynamic analysis test tools (Sonar, valgrind, cppcheck oth.)
• exp. with Linux/Android build systems
• non-trivial issues investigation skills (gdb debug, reversing, white-box testing)
• validation of security aspects
• custom test frameworks development
