We’re looking for a Solution Architect to join our team! The position will include building great product in the renewable energy domain.

You will work on:

The product that specializes in battery energy storage and building the future energy system. The leading data analysis platform provides valuable, unique market insights to help energy companies build, finance, and operate the energy system of the future. Its mission is to transform the energy industry through the transparency of data and accelerate the energy transition by enabling companies to make better data-backed decisions.

Our projects’ backend is written in Python (Django) and the frontend is written in React.js, Next.js.

Responsibilities:

  • defining non-functional requirements, quality attributes and architectural drivers;
  • system design and architecture;
  • analyse possible project challenges and constraints including, risks, time, resources and scope;
  • work with a software development team to ensure a defined architecture is properly implemented;
  • acting as a bridge between the development team and the project stakeholders;

  • cooperate with other architects and technology experts to produce solid architectural decisions;
- drive and coordinate technical staff discussions;
  • ensuring best practices and standards, keeping up to date with technology trends;
  • writing Proof of Concepts, making code reviews;
  • knowledge sharing and growth of senior engineers.

Hard Skills:

  • ability to plan, manage, and implement an IT strategy and a business strategy;
  • ability to optimise the product development process (for example, using DevOps or Agile)
  • understanding business analysis, project management and testing technics;
  • knowledge of different architectural styles and patterns (Modular Monolith, SOA, Microservices, Event-driven, Serverless, etc);
  • knowledge and ability to apply design patterns;
  • ability to structure and maintain data, data and processes modelling (ERD, Activity, Sequence diagrams);
  • working experience and deep understanding of at least 2 programming languages (JavaScript and Python are preferable);
  • experience with AWS Cloud;

  • experience in building scalable Microservice and Service-based architecture;
  • working experience with DevOps culture and tools. Practice with at least 1 container orchestrator (Kubernetes, Nomad, etc).

  • ability to identify a problem, analyse the information, and work on effective solutions quickly;
  • ability to lead a development team;
  • ability to present own vision and summarise all aspects of the decision;
  • ability to focus on the result;
  • ability to adapt to changes and solve problems.
