Project Description:
Romexsoft is looking for a motivated, result-oriented Junior DevOps Engineer who is willing to join our DevOps team.
Junior DevOps engineer will become a part of a 24×7 tech support team providing DevOps support and resolving incidents generated by monitoring and alerting systems serving multiple customers and projects.
Required skills:
- 2+ years of Linux administration experience
- 1+ year of AWS Cloud commercial experience (Networking, EC2, ECS, S3, Cloud Watch, RDS, IAM)
- Good understanding of networking (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, OSI 4, HTTP etc.)
- Good English (intermediate or higher, written and spoken)
- Experience in Bash or Python scripting
- Knowledge of Windows OS, Active Directory, Group Policy
- Knowledge of Zabbix, Grafana
- Basic knowledge of ELK/EFK stack
- Experience with RDBMS databases
- Experience with configuration web servers: Nginx, Apache, Tomcat
- Experience with virtualization systems (KVM, VMWare, Proxmox etc.)
- Docker containerization
- Basic knowledge of Ansible and Packer
As a plus:
- CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, AWS Code Pipeline)
- Managing Java, Nodejs, PHP and Python web applications on infrastructure level
- Infrastructure as a Code (CloudFormation, Terraform)
- Knowledge of monitoring tools (e.g. NewRelic, Nagios, Prometheus, DataDog)
- Experience in JIRA, Google Apps for Business
Responsibilities:
As a Junior DevOps Engineer:
- Resolve incidents generated by monitoring and alerting systems according to Runbooks and Escalation Policies within project SLA
- Maintaining procedural documents and reports
- Documenting troubleshooting and problem resolution steps
- Respond to customer’s calls, emails, messages and act accordingly regarding issues
- Configure & maintain server monitoring solutions
- Research, analyze, propose and implement new technology solutions for the infrastructure
- Maintain good and smooth communication with customers and other professionals through different channels like web, messengers, email, and phone
- Pass AWS SysOps certification within 12 months
As a System Administrator:
- Management of office equipment such as purchase and repair (laptops, hardware etc)
- Inventory management
- User management in the following services: Jira/Confluence, Google, Slack, AWS, VPN, GitHub, GitLab.
- Monitoring & management of the company services.
Environment: Windows/Linux, AWS Cloud, Hosting providers, Atlassian Products (JIRA), Google Apps
