Junior DevOps Engineer + System Administrator (Lviv only)

Project Description:

Romexsoft is looking for a motivated, result-oriented Junior DevOps Engineer who is willing to join our DevOps team.

Junior DevOps engineer will become a part of a 24×7 tech support team providing DevOps support and resolving incidents generated by monitoring and alerting systems serving multiple customers and projects.

Required skills:

• 2+ years of Linux administration experience
• 1+ year of AWS Cloud commercial experience (Networking, EC2, ECS, S3, Cloud Watch, RDS, IAM)
• Good understanding of networking (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, OSI 4, HTTP etc.)
• Good English (intermediate or higher, written and spoken)
• Experience in Bash or Python scripting
• Knowledge of Windows OS, Active Directory, Group Policy
• Knowledge of Zabbix, Grafana
• Basic knowledge of ELK/EFK stack
• Experience with RDBMS databases
• Experience with configuration web servers: Nginx, Apache, Tomcat
• Experience with virtualization systems (KVM, VMWare, Proxmox etc.)
• Docker containerization
• Basic knowledge of Ansible and Packer

As a plus:

• CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, AWS Code Pipeline)
• Managing Java, Nodejs, PHP and Python web applications on infrastructure level
• Infrastructure as a Code (CloudFormation, Terraform)
• Knowledge of monitoring tools (e.g. NewRelic, Nagios, Prometheus, DataDog)
• Experience in JIRA, Google Apps for Business

Responsibilities:

As a Junior DevOps Engineer:

• Resolve incidents generated by monitoring and alerting systems according to Runbooks and Escalation Policies within project SLA
• Maintaining procedural documents and reports
• Documenting troubleshooting and problem resolution steps
• Respond to customer’s calls, emails, messages and act accordingly regarding issues
• Configure & maintain server monitoring solutions
• Research, analyze, propose and implement new technology solutions for the infrastructure
• Maintain good and smooth communication with customers and other professionals through different channels like web, messengers, email, and phone
• Pass AWS SysOps certification within 12 months

As a System Administrator:

• Management of office equipment such as purchase and repair (laptops, hardware etc)
• Inventory management
• User management in the following services: Jira/Confluence, Google, Slack, AWS, VPN, GitHub, GitLab.
• Monitoring & management of the company services.
