DevOps Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our team, helping us streamline deployment processes, maintain our Kubernetes clusters, and monitor system performance to support our growing platform. If you have a strong background in cloud infrastructure and a proactive approach to problem-solving, this role is for you!

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with developers to integrate automated testing, deployment, and monitoring
• Maintain Kubernetes clusters, perform upgrades, and ensure smooth, secure operation
• Set up alerts and dashboards to track key performance indicators and respond to incidents promptly
• Build new and enhance existing CI/CD pipelines to optimize deployment workflows
• Ensure reproducible, consistent environments that stay up-to-date with the standards
• Document existing infrastructure and CI/CD processes for future improvements
• Regularly assess and improve infrastructure for scalability and reliability.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 4 years of experience in DevOps
• Expertise in Kubernetes and containerisation
• Extensive experience with AWS (EC2, EKS, RDS, Cloudfront)
• Proven ability to build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines (preferably with GitLab CI)
• Strong skills in automating software deployment with Docker containers and Helm charts
• Familiarity with observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch
• Experience with logging and monitoring tools (e.g. ELK Stack)
• Strong experience in configuring load balancing and reverse proxies (AWS ALB, Nginx)
• Solid scripting skills such Python, Shell (Bash)
• Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking

Bonus Skills

• Practical knowledge of networks fundamentals, TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, DHCP, Firewalls
• Abilities to read and write code in PHP and Go
• Abilities to write SQL-queries
• Familiarity with tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
