Understanding of underlying math and statistics (calculus, probability theory, Bayes theorem, etc)
Understanding of cloud-native platforms (preferably AWS) and distributed architectures
Proven experience in python
Strong knowledge of relational databases, SQL
Data modeling, ETL development, and data warehousing
Querying tools (e.g. Redshift, SparkSQL, Hive, Presto, Impala)
Strong written and verbal professional proficiency in English

Experience in 2-sided marketplaces business domain
Cloud object storages: S3, GCS
Experience using big data technologies (e.g. Hadoop, Spark, Hive)
Experience in data lake architectures
Experience with data governance applied to cloud/enterprise platforms
Streaming processing (e.g. Kafka / Kinesis, Storm, Flink, Spark Streaming)
Experience in NoSQL databases
Experience with task orchestration tools (e.g. Airflow, Luigi)
Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g. Terraform, Cloud formation)
Experience with any ML engineering solution

You will be a connector between data analysts and the development team, helping them to obtain data they need in the most efficient and automated way. We expect you to get a deep domain and product knowledge, to suggest the best possible solutions for business problems. Eventually, you may be asked to perform a quick analysis on your own or to review someone else.

A big part of your role is to be responsible for the whole data flow: starting from defining tracking requirements to designing and providing tables to data clusters (sources for BI and for CRM). It means: understanding of the data flow stream, managing data catalog, ETL — preparing new tables to cluster (table with new dimensions and measures, table join data from few tables, aggregate table, etc)

Also participating in projects like:
— Cross-domain or cross-device user behavior tracking solutions
— Automated demand-supply regulation systems, analyzing them, improving
— Recommendation systems, forecasting systems
