We are looking for mid senior level Java developers on our new project. You will be part of a development team with a focus on backend development. We have a very challenging and innovative project based on the latest technologies: backend- Java, frontend — react and ML part. The new product is being created for a US based startup company — named “Carmen” — and will be a competitor with companies like Linkedin.

About the project:
This is a Job Search platform with AI algorithms for parsing, manipulating, and tracking CVs and Job Descriptions. It automatically matches CVs with Job Descriptions and provides users different services, reports, and workflows to find each other.
As a Java Developer you will work on Big Data, Multithreading tasks, and Integration of different outside services with ML part and User interface.

Qualifications and Skills:
— Expert knowledge of Java Core
— In-depth understanding of Engineering
— Good understanding and practical knowledge of multithreading
— 2-5 years of relevant software development experience
— Experience in building flexible, scalable, and efficient systems capable of running in real time
— Product-focused mindset
— Team-player with strong interpersonal skills
— English — Upper Intermediate or above

Desirable:
— Start-up experience
— Experience with large database systems
— Strong verbal, written, and team-oriented communication skills
— Experience working with Amazon services, ElasticSearch, Kafka, and non-SQL DBs

— Contribute to the requirements, architecture, and implementation of existing and future systems
— Deliver constant value back to the business in a highly agile team approaching near-continuous deployment

— Anticipate problems or issues that may arise and forecast high risk areas in software
