Job Summary
IMVU is #1 online avatar-based virtual universe and social network where people can create an avatar and live and act in a complete and rich virtual world with social interactions, games, etc.
We are looking for a Senior Full-stack Developer who will run the Web-based platform for IMVU product and will be a significant part of the growing team.
Requirements:
— Over 5 years of experience with web development and JavaScript
— 2+ years of experience with Node.js
— Knowledge and experience in modern frameworks such as React (preferable), Vue or Angular
— Excellent knowledge of HTML and CSS
— Good spoken & written English level
— Ability to make technical decisions on your own as well as evaluate decisions of others

Responsibilities:
— Develop a new web-based platform
— Owning web platform expertise for all internal and external-facing products
— Making good decisions for the whole team when it comes to web technologies
— Provide technical consultancy to a team and make technical recommendations
— Work closely with Java backend team and data engineering team
About the Project/Product
IMVU is an online metaverse and social network. IMVU had over four million active users in 2014. The current number of active players is 6M+, and the site has a virtual goods catalog of more than 40 million items.
We are creating the next generation of VR social networks, based on a distributed, service-mesh-type architecture with underlying Java, MongoDB, GODOT engine, and other technologies, deployed via Kubernetes onto AWS and Google infrastructure.
We have a team in California and in Kyiv, Ukraine.
