About the client’s company:

Founded in 2022, our client’s startup is a pioneer in the field of food safety management. They have developed an industry-compliant tool that significantly enhances the management and optimization of food safety operations in food and beverage processing plants. Utilizing a scientific and rigorous methodology, their platform analyzes all parameters impacting food safety, positioning themselves as a leader in this essential sector.

About the role:

Our client is seeking an experienced Chief Technology Officer (CTO) with a strong background in technology and a proven track record of at least 8 years in the industry. The ideal candidate will be based in the EU and should be proficient in both technical and managerial aspects, capable of guiding the company’s technology strategy and effectively representing their technological advancements.

Tech stack:

Python is used with mypy for type checking and Pydantic for data models. TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Redis, FastAPI HTTP server for exposing a REST API, SQLAlchemy CORE, Vue.js 3, NGINX, Docker, and Docker Compose.

Requirements:

• Over 8 years of experience in the technology sector, with extensive knowledge in software development and system architecture.
• Expertise in the specified tech stack.
• Strong leadership skills and experience in managing technology teams.
• Fluent in English with excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strategic and innovative thinking capabilities.
• Passion for technology, especially in its application to the food safety and processing industry.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement the strategic technological vision for the company.
• Manage the technology team, ensuring effective use of the specified tech stack.
• Organize regular team meetings for alignment and efficient workflow.
• Represent the company’s technological initiatives to stakeholders and in public forums.
• Facilitate collaboration across departments to integrate technology into products and services.
• Guide and mentor the technology team to promote innovation and excellence.
