We are looking for a skilled PHP developer for a long-term project.

Our client is a U.S.-based leader in the financial technology sector. It provides high-load solutions for global digital payment processing. Its platform powers secure and scalable payment services, including POS, API integrations, fraud prevention, and advanced analytics.

The engineering team is currently undergoing a transition phase, modernizing legacy components while maintaining high system reliability and performance. This is a great opportunity to join an active development cycle and contribute to the evolution of a business-critical platform used worldwide.

Tech Stack:

Backend: PHP 8.3+, Zend Framework (legacy), Symfony (selected components), Doctrine;

Frontend: Vue.js;

Databases: MySQL, MongoDB;

Infrastructure & Tools: AWS, Redis, Docker, Git/GitLab, PHPUnit, Swagger, Datadog.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience with PHP development;
• Hands-on experience with Zend or Symfony frameworks;
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and backend architecture;
• Experience with SQL (MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases;
• Familiarity with Docker, Git, and CI/CD pipelines;
• English: Upper-Intermediate (team communication is fully in English);
• Proactive mindset and readiness to work in a partially legacy environment while contributing to modernization.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend services in PHP (Zend & Symfony);
• Participate in the gradual migration of legacy components to modern technologies;
• Collaborate with frontend developers working with Vue.js;
• Integrate with third-party services and APIs;
• Optimize database queries and ensure the performance of MySQL and MongoDB interactions.
• Write unit tests using PHPUnit and maintain high test coverage;
• Use Docker and GitLab CI/CD pipelines as part of the development process;
• Communicate with U.S.-based business stakeholders and follow Agile workflows.
