Senior DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer with a problem-solving attitude to optimize and automate infrastructure for a venture capital firm. You will manage CI/CD pipelines, ensure data security, and maintain reliable infrastructure.

ABOUT THE PROJECT:

The client is a renowned venture capital firm that manages its fund using Salesforce as the central data repository, alongside various other platforms for additional data sources. These sources range from Excel spreadsheets to external commercial tools and custom-built user-facing applications. Different departments rely on multiple siloed systems for data management, leading to a fragmented data landscape.

The major challenge is the suboptimal time to make the final decision as analysts can’t rely on the existing data due to possible human errors and complicated data management. The solution is to build a unified data platform that will be integrated with Salesforce, fund accounting, and other existing systems to efficiently transform financial, legal, and ops data to data marts that are ready for interaction and comprehensive visualization with BI tools on web and mobile platforms.

LOCATION

Remote: Poland, Ukraine

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• 5+ years of working experience in DevOps;
• Ample experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP);
• Experience in continuous deployment, build systems & sandbox management;
• Experience using Terraform and Kubernetes;
• Proven experience in building highly secured infrastructure;
• Experience in common alerting/monitoring/metric/build software such as DataDog/Sentry;
• Exceptional understanding of service quality, live maintenance, and data integrity;
• Understanding of TCP/IP and networks;
• Upper-Intermediate English or above.

NICE TO HAVE:

• Experience with other CI/CD tools;
• Experience in site reliability development;
• Experience in building custom automations in Python or Golang.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Streamline/automate CI/CD process to allow consistently successful deployments as well as faster and simpler maintenance and rollbacks;
• Ensure that the infrastructure utilizes best practices in data security and disaster recovery.
• Streamline/automate management and monitoring in all environments;
• Design and setup tools, practices, and processes that help development and support teams achieve their goals more efficiently;
