Job Summary:

We are looking for a Senior Java Engineer who will be a significant part of creating a “service mesh” for the solution. He should be familiar with Java and its most-used components network interaction mechanisms, DevOps approach and techniques.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of java microservice development;
• 2+ years of using the spring framework (required);
• Experience working directly with product managers to clarify requirements and turn them into technical stories;
• Experience working with key/value and document stores (eg. MongoDB);
• Experience working on high traffic, horizontally scaling microservices;
• Operational mindset and desire for high quality;
• Strong team player;
• Strong communication skills.

Will be a plus:

• MongoDB;
• Experience working with Amazon services;
• Network design/engineering.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the requirements, architecture and implementation of existing and future systems;
• Deliver constant value back to the business in a highly agile team;
• Collaborate effectively with engineers and other team members;
• Participate in the on-call schedule;
• Anticipate problems or issues that may arise, forecast high risk areas in software;
• Be part of a continuous improvement atmosphere, proactively suggesting improvements to the platform and development processes;
• Adapt quickly to new technologies.
