On behalf of our partner — a modern international iGaming provider — we’re looking for a Game Mathematician to join the product team and help design innovative, engaging, and competitive game experiences.
Requirements
- University degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields
- 1.5+ years of experience as a Game Mathematician (or similar role) in online gambling
- Strong understanding of slot mechanics, RTP/volatility concepts, and game math design
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to detect and fix inconsistencies in math models
- Strong problem-solving mindset and passion for complex mathematical challenges
- Data-driven approach with solid analytical skills
- Experience working in cross-functional product teams
- English level B2+
Nice to have:
- Scripting skills in Python
- Experience with Git or other version control systems
- Motivation to tackle ambitious challenges and stretch goals
- Strong mathematical intuition, creativity, and curiosity
- Ability to evaluate games from a player experience perspective
- Strong self-organization and task prioritization skills
Responsibilities
- Design, balance, and fine-tune game mathematics and mechanics in collaboration with Product Owners and Game Developers
- Run simulations of math models and optimize them for performance and player engagement
- Research and analyze top-performing competitor games to generate insights for new concepts
- Prepare and maintain detailed math specifications and documentation for development teams
- Participate in the full game development lifecycle — from concept and prototyping to release
- Conduct competitive analysis to support strategic product decisions
- Act as a sparring partner for internal teams, bringing mathematical expertise to strengthen game design
